This course is structured to fulfill the continuing education requirements mandated by Texas Occupation Codes 1701.351 and 1701.352. It encompasses a comprehensive overview of Cultural Diversity, addressing essential terminology, the influence of biases on law enforcement practices, and the advantages of diversity and inclusion within law enforcement agencies. Additionally, the course outlines best practices for developing cultural competence. While primarily targeted at peace officers, we strongly recommend participation from all law enforcement personnel, including both civilian staff and non-sworn members.
