This course aims to equip participants with the skills and knowledge to handle challenging situations in public settings without resorting to excessive force. Participants will learn how to communicate effectively, assess risks, and apply appropriate strategies to de-escalate conflicts and maintain safety. This course is mandatory for officers who have a basic proficiency certificate and need to renew it every four years, as well as for those who want to obtain an intermediate or advanced proficiency certificate.
